NAC Men's Soccer Weekly Honors
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Benjamin Russell,
Maine Maritime
(Jr, M - Farmington, Maine)
Russell scored in both of MMA's games this past weekend. He scored
his second game-winning goal of the season at Green Mountain before
netting the Mariners' only goal at Castleton in a 1-1 tie.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Alex Ortega,
Colby-Sawyer
(Fr, Midfield - Milton, Vt.)
Alex had an impact on the offensive side of the ball in a 2-1 week
for the Chargers. Colby-Sawyer dropped a 3-1 nonconference decision
to Plymouth, but rebounded with two important road NAC games. He
tallied both goals in a 2-1 NAC win at Lyndon and followed by
assisting on two of the team's three tallies at Johnson State.
