DUBUQUE – Buoyed by a big evening from sophomore goalkeeper Monica Noti of Carol Stream, Ill., Wartburg moved on in the 2010 NCAA Division III tournament Nov. 12.

Noti, in the face of an 18-5 shots advantage for the University of Chicago, kept the Knights on level footing throughout 100 minutes of regulation and two overtimes. Her eight saves, a single-match career high, forced a penalty kick advancement situation. In the PK session, won 4-3 by the Orange and Black, she repelled two Maroons' attempts, too.

Coach Sara Johnson's program (14-5-2), advancing in the national tournament for the first time since 2007, did get a shot at Chicago's goal from both junior defender Jess Macauley of Cedar Rapids and junior midfielder Katy Wendt of Bettendorf in regulation and the two extra sessions. The Knights hit four of five penalty kick attempts with freshman midfielder Kelli Anderson of Cary, Ill., scoring the match decider.
