CCIW Women's Soccer Players of the Week (10/4/11)
NAPERVILLE, Ill. – North Park’s Katrina Dekirmendjian and Katie Ibarra were named the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Women’s Soccer Players of the Week Tuesday. Dekirmendjian, a freshman from Toronto, Ontario (Biology major), scored the game-winning goal in North Park's 2-1 win over Millikin on September 28 in Decatur, its first road CCIW victory since 2006. Dekirmendjian then had a goal in the Vikings’ 2-1 win over Elmhurst, a victory that snapped the Bluejays’ six-game winning streak. Ibarra, a freshman from Joliet, Ill., and Joliet Catholic Academy (Athletic Training major), was in goal for a pair of conference victories, including a 2-1 win over Elmhurst and a 2-1 overtime win over Millikin.
