Thomas More Plays Traditional Rival Hanover to a 0-0 Draw

(HANOVER, Ind.) - The Thomas More College women's soccer team played traditional rival Hanover College to a 0-0 double overtime draw on Wednesday (September 18, 2013) in a non-conference match at the L.S. Ayers Athletic Complex in Hanover, Indiana.

With the tie, the Saints are now 4-1-1 and the Panthers are 5-1-1.

Thomas More out-shot Hanover, 18-6, including 5-1 on-goal. Sophomore defender Abby Osborne (Cincinnati, Ohio/McAuley) led the Saints in shots with three, including two on-goal. The Saints also won the battle of corner kicks, 5-4.

Freshman goalkeeper Megan Barton (Florence, Ky./Villa Madonna) played the first 45 minutes and didn't face a shot on-goal. Freshman goalkeeper Christy Smith (Washington Courthouse, Ohio/Washington) played the final 65 minutes and recorded one save.

The Saints return to action on Saturday (September 21) when they host Ohio Northern University at 12 p.m. at The Bank of Kentucky Field in Crestview Hills, Kentucky.
