Women's soccer falls to Augustana
MOORHEAD, Minn. – Augustana (Ill.) scored three, first-half goals on the way to a 3-1 win over the Simpson women's soccer team at the Cobber Invitational hosted by Concordia-Moorhead on Saturday.
Taylor Navarro assisted on the first two goals as Augustana got out to a 2-0 lead in the first 7 minutes, 15 seconds.
Jessica Kras scored the third goal to give Augustana a 3-0 lead in the 31st minuts.
The score remained 3-0 until Maddie Thomas found the back of the net off a header pass from Amber Johnson in the 78th minute.
Simpson closes play at the Cobber Invitational on Sunday when it takes on St. Scholastica at 2 p.m.
